This Site
This site first came about because my
friend Anna and I decided it would be a fun project if we were to make a homepage together.
The idea was that the sites would be 'sister sites,' which they now are. Anna
was a lot more organised than me, and got her site up a long, long time ago. I
finally got my act together last January, and put up that very....*cough*
attractive layout you see to your right. I hated it, and that meant I wasn't
particularly inspired to work on the site much.
It
got a new lease on life when I moved it to envy.nu last May, but the enthusiasm
was short lived. As I usually do with sites, I got overambitious with it, and
couldn't be bothered finishing it. That and envy.nu really annoyed me.
It
all changed when I discovered the
world of live journals, and realised that for anyone to read my
live-journal, I'd need some way of letting people know that it was there.
And so... *dramatic drumroll, please*... this site was born-or, I should say,
reborn.
I must admit, I don't expect it to
be updated too often, asides from the LiveJournal, which I write in religiously.
It's one of my favourite things to do on the Internet... it's like writing a
long, babbly email to a friend, except I don't have to worry that I'm boring
them by raving on about something for too long. :-) But at least now I have a
(completed) homepage that people just might visit! It also gives me a place to
list all my sites, so solves the age-old question of which site URL to fill in
on guestbook entries!
